Sean, get out the vac and go for it man! Yes, everything has to be made but its worth it. Theres nothing really to be afraid of. Once the parts are cut and sanded, its like putting an injection kit together. Sure you have to plan, think, think ahead and overcome problems but it'll boost your confidence and give you ideas too for when you build injection kits.
  2. Thanks for all the kind words chaps, like I said, not perfect but, I'm happy with the results. Think I'm going to leave vac biplanes alone for a while now
  3. Looking great, cockpit is beautifully done. Does anyone do RAF aircrew in 1/32?
  4. Me too Erwin, I'll never understand why they haven't already done that... surely it would be very popular?
  5. The last I heard, Neil was on vacation, he is normally very good at responding to emails. He told me a while back that he still has many of the moulds laying around his workshop, its just a matter of finding them if asked for a specific item.

This is gonna be sooooooo impressive Graham!
  7. Guys n gals, what a strange coincedence...... yesterday afternoon, I told Gill I was going to put the finishing touches to the Stringbag. The sun was out, the skies were blue and the conservatory doors were open. Just as I finished, I hear the sound of an aircraft in the distance, nothing unusual because we live near Hucknall Aerodrome. As the sound got closer, I told Gill it was something apart from the ordinary cessna type plane and went out to see if I could see it. "Gill - quick, come and look" as she came out of the conservatory, a Swordfish flew over very low. I couldnt believe it! Anyway folks, she's done, over a year after starting, the longest build I've done! Not perfect but I've enjoyed doing it and I'm more than happy with the end result. And a little more that I've learned in that I've made all the decals myself, another 'first' for me. Thanks to everyone who've given comments and words of encouragement and my special thanks to Edgar for his help and the loan of detailed photos and book from his collection - much appreciated mate! Thanks for looking, all comments welcome.
