  1. Update: The landing gear is on both the Messaschnizel and the Spitsfire. Almost done with the 109, some small painting details and the nose and wing cannon barrels need to be added...on the 109 as well. Attached are some mug shots of the almost completed Messaschnizel.. Cheers, ggc
  2. Yes, they are lot's of fun....here is a cleaned Spitsfire next to the close to completion, Messaschitzel, you can see the family resemblance...the spitsfire was originally built circa 1981. I bought both kits in the late 1970's planning to display them as a complementary pair...it only took 26 years..!!! Cheers, ggc
  3. Ian: your Phantom is comming along nicely...love that clear nose Cheers, ggc
  4. Messaschnitzel fans: Here is a brief update of this WIP, with added paint and decals... Auf-vee-der-zane.. Verner
  5. Stephen: That would be GREAT..!! I'm looking forward to working on this historical WWI era Vulgarian a/c... Mailing address: 155 Debbie Drive, Druma, Pa. 18222 Cheers, ggc
  6. Hi Ian: I got some of the splinter camo on the 109, unfortunately the masking tape pulled off some of the underlying paint, probablly an issue with using both acrylic and enamel paint on the same model... , so some touch up will be needed...I'm sourcing decals from the stash for the Messaschnzel.... I'm also doing an update/or two on the Spitsfire since they will be displayed togeather, brake lines and wing tip lights as well a general clean up since it's been gathering dust for some time... Also, future updates on the Comic Ni-11 will be posted on the Vulgarian thread/topic... This GB inspiration has got me back into regular building again...I think that's a good thing.... Cheers, ggc
  7. Thanks guys, this large scale gig is somewhat like draft beer, it's hard to stop with just one Cheers, ggc
  8. Ian: That's a "Bigin" for certain... , you could always hang it from the ceiling... ,,it would look swell in formation with an A-10.. Cheers, ggc

Cheers, ggc

  13. LSP Matt: In an earlier post you memtioned you were working on a comic Funfdecker...that kit along with some other similar comic a/c are illustrated on the Messaschitzel box sides. What "scale" do you reckon it may be..? A companion model for the Funfdecker was "Lucky Pierre" in a comic Ni-11...I have a subsequent issue of this caracature Ni-11 that would be perfect for a period Vulgarian a/c....I'm thinking of arming it with a Vickers MG from the 1/28 Revell Spad kit...as originally built this kit had an electric motor which spun the prop and a hook so that you could hang it from the ceiling and it would fly around in circles...great fun but the battery eventually leaked and the model minus the leaking battery went into the salvage bin... I'm thinking this kit would qualify for the incomplete/stalled projects group build.... I'll post pictures of this project in it's current state of Dis-Repair....later... Cheers, ggc
  14. Texas: Plumbing looks real good...tks for the pictorial update... Cheers, ggc
  15. Thanks Allok: I think the Messaschtzel (wit mods) will definitely be a "one-of-akind" when it is finished....I don't think I've ever seen another one completed..my plan is to display it and the Spitsfire togeather..as far as the "rareity" value..., kits are for building..but I will preserve the kit box for posterity.. Cheers, ggc
