Nick32
Hi, thought i should contribute something so here is the first build since i was a kid. Its the Airfix new tooling and it was a pleasure to build. Its totally brush painted with a mixture of Humbrol and Tamiya paints. I should have thinned the red a bit, but overall i am quite happy with it. Thanks for looking, Nick

dodgem37
Where is it? It's so small. I can't see it without my optivisor. Just kidding, of course. Very cool. Love that color combination. Sincerely, Mark
Guest Peterpools
Nice work for Number One and agreat choice of subject matter. Agreed about thinning the paint out, especially he Tamiya paints. I like to thin them with water (Tamiya) and layer on the color). Comes out smooth as silk and dries pretty fast. Peter
Nick32
Thanks guys. I learnt a lot building that one, not least to thin paint. When i was a kid i just used to throw it on! I've moved away from the Humbrol paints now, i have spent a small fortune on Tamiya stuff in the last month or so. I've also been using the microsol/microset decal solutions - it made the decalling much easier on the BF109 i did after the Mustang. I may try to do a bit of very light weathering on this P51, i have some oil paints ready to make up a wash with, if i'm feeling brave i will have a go...
