Olve Dybvig
Nice one Olve!Check your refernces, i think there were smooth tires on the plane. Cheers, Chris Probably, have to check later. Made a small mistake. The MG bulges partly cover the latch (red arrow) I should have seen this one. Have to fix it later. Perhaps draw new one with pencil after painting. The nobs for the sun-umbrella (green arrow) are not especially needed in Norway and will be removed. Waiting now for at rivet maker from MDC (they are not exactly fast on delivery those guys) Now I will consentrate on the wings Best from sunny Norway Olve

Hi Olve, that latch 'was' partly covered by the bulge. You can leave it that way. It was uncovered when the cowl was opened.
Olve Dybvig
Hi Olve, that latch 'was' partly covered by the bulge. You can leave it that way.It was uncovered when the cowl was opened. Ahhhhhh. Thank you Best Olve
Olve Dybvig
So yes Olve, you may need to putty over and re-scribe them, or just pencil them in as you say. The Aires Engine set shows that the placement of the latches by Hasegawa was in almost exactly the same spot, so maybe Hasegawa made the rear boils a little too wide.HTH, Steve. Ok..........Duhhhhhh Some paint and stuff in the wheel well. Not quite happy with the finish yet Olve
MikeMaben
I was using this photo as my reference and assumed (incorrectly) that those bulges were seperate. In any case the latches are as close to the bulge as they could possibly be without being covered. I've also seen drawings that look as tho the bulge partially covers the latch. I guess yours are a little too close Olve. My mistake.

Martin Cwiertnia
Maybe the better way to make rivets is to use 'Rosie The Riveter' of Mr. Dousek from Czech Republic :?: I can't imagine doing rivets on Fw 190 with the use of MDC tool ... it's madness for me. Regards, Martin.

RandyB
Wow, the riveting turned out nice - it adds a subtle detail to the surface. Did your hand hurt much after the riveting sessions? Your build is progressing very well.
