gustave venelt
Hello Jens It doesn't look easy at all!! Good luck on this build!
Erwin
Hi Jens, No build is easy.No matter witch material it's made of. You encointer problems, you overcome them . Lucky for you I just did a full picture buildstory on the same kit. I'm not saying that my method is THE best and only way to build such a kit. But the result I get pleases me enough to say it's a pretty good buildmethod. Don't rush your build and take your time. Looking forward to see more. BTW,I'm no Spit expert. But the Mk 21 has a different prop, oilcoolers, bigger nosesection,etc...and also a much bigger tailsection than the one in the kit. So the fin parts you already started will not be correct. Keep it simple and stick to a early mark.Otherwise you will be doing a big and difficult conversion. If you wanted to do a Mk 21 then you should have changed the plans before starting and making the bigger parts from scatchbalsa. I know that I wouldn't begin to convert a Mk1 into a Mk21. Erwin
Much better. Now I can see you did the fuselage very good.Neat adding of the ribs. Looking nice. Are you going to do the whole covering in wood? You started well with the fin and rudder.

Erwin
im thinking about it.. im sure ill cover the stablizer as well.. but im still thinking about fuselage and wing.. Don't think about it...do it. You won't regret it. It's much better looking than tissiue. If you are unsure on how to do it.Have a look again how I did it. It's not realy that difficult. Jens
after a long brake im back rebuilding this one! i have in the mean time i've done a lot of things on it.. wing- and destroyed all the ribs on it trying to cover it with balsa, but i got mad and rebuilded all the ribs and at the time im sanding and fitting vac parts, and yes- i know that there still is missing a lot ribs on it but dont worry, they'll be added soon cockpit-trashed Fuselage- added a lot ribs, and then i removed them again, and then i added them again and as in Erwin's spitfire build the vac parts also was a disaster  its quite heavy becurse f all the putty i used to fit it LG (landing gear)-startet, and its looking quite good i think, i covered it with metal tape , the only thing im thinking about is how long it'll hold
