Chris/Germany
Hy guys, have to start a new project between the "Graf-G6" and "Ernestyne", it´s a order-job for a guy who wants a special bird, a FW 190 A-5 ( Revell), but this time not as a "cutaway" but in "complete-service", means all service-flaps have to be opened! Will be hard ´cause the bird has to be finished just in time for christmas........ok, sounds like a challenge. Here are a few pics from the first steps, first one is cowling cut into pieces and fuselage opened

Chris/Germany
here´s a shot of the fuselage halfs before glueing them together, because of having not much time for this bird I decided to fill the fuselage only with the interior that will be visible through the service flap on portside, that´s why not all ribs are mounted. Chris/Germany
standing on her feet, painted and ready for a coat of high gloss before the decals, finally I decided to give her the markings of austrian ace Nowotny " Double chevron" from I./JG 54 in Russia
Chris/Germany
Ok, changed the final markings again..........because I did not have some "Double chevrons" for the plane of Nowotny I decided to give her the markings of another austrian ace from JG 54. Now she´s "Yellow 8" from Robert "Bazi" Weiss. 3./ JG 54. Decals finished, ready for a semi-gloss coat and awaiting the final detailing at motor and guns. LSP_Mike
Chris, thanks for the amazing photo-jouney thru the building of your kit. I really like the opening up of the panels to reveal the interior,IE the radio compartment and the rudder thingee. If you need some << in 1/32 I will be happy to send you a set I've got many more than I'll use. Any pics of the 'pit on the FW? also, how do you open the panels: scribe and use the kit parts? thanks again for the pictures- mike in calif
Chris/Germany
Hy Mike, thanx for your compliments! A few of this double chevrons would be great, especially the size for a FW 190 ( a little bit bigger than the ones for a Me109, black with white outlines) ´cause I´ll will do the plane of Nowotny anyway for my own collection. Please e-mail me at CNASMaol.com for that. The cockpit is not really worth a detail shot....shame on me.....but because there´s not much time left I used the kit´s cockpit without any extraordinaire details. `bout the panels: they are milled out and then handmade from aluminium sheet because if you would cut them out carefully to use them later you already would have to sand them down to reach the right thickness, think this would take the same time as make a new set from alu. Did the same with the upper and lower cowling flaps, used the kit ones as a mold, cutted out some from alu and bent them carefully over a Revell colour-can to get the right form. Looks much better than the kit ones. Think she´l be finished next weekend, cheers Chris
