themongoose
Troy has anyone tried using the David Union 300 for buffing out clear plastic? Or is there another product that may work as well or better? I’m looking for something to use for fixing some messed up clear parts because I just can’t seem to get all the hazing out by hand. Troy Molitor
I personally haven't tried it yet. I sell various MADWORKS sponge sanding pads which people have used two sided tape to use with the D400 sander styluses?
spreckair
I just received the D 400 yesterday and tried it out today. This is going to be a game changer for me, so I am very happy with it so far. I enjoy taking old 1/32nd scale aircraft kits (i.e. Revell, Matchbox, Swallow, etc.) and building them up to modern standards. It requires a lot of detailed removal of raised lines and rivets while also preserving other relevant details, which is a challenge. This tool enables me to easily and quickly do this without damaging areas that I want to remain unchanged. I am currently working on 6 old Revell Hawker Hurricanes and this tool will speed up the process significantly. I also really like the quality of the tool's finish, and the packaging is very well done. Troy Molitor
