Alclad and decal advice

You're welcome man, you can also paint, varnish bright, then put the decal and then give it another layer of gloss varnish (to ensure that the edges of the decal are not visible) and finally matt varnish

I used Alclad II Alumium on a Ki-44 I just built and while I sprayed most of the markings, the kill markings were in decal form only and from Hasegawa.  I used them without a gloss undercoat or an overcoat of any kind.  I used Microset and Microsol and you'd be hard pressed to see the clear decal film between the kill markings; it's that good.
