LSP_K2
OK, fellas, for the very first time in the slightly less than four years since I really got back into car modeling, I’m intending to finish at least one model for a car model contest here in May of 2019, and this is it. (We'll just see if I actually follow through or not, though I certainly intend to.) mustang1989

LSP_K2
This will be mostly OOB and curbside (hood glued on and no engine), but I’ll most likely switch out those funky wheels and tires. Color will be Tamiya TS41 (Coral Blue) and Tamiya gloss black with a khaki top, and no flames.
LSP_K2
Once fender section was all cleaned up, I spritzed it with some primer; so far so good. mustang1989
LSP_K2
This was a real head-scratcher. Why Revell chose to leave this gigantic gap in the front seat, is a real mystery to me. The real deal.
LSP_K2
It was suggested to me that this cavernous gap wouldn't be visible on the finished kit, but that's really not so, so here it is after a liberal dose of epoxy putty, followed up with the first coat of Tamiya white putty. mustang1989

LSP_K2
OK, the Tamiya gloss black is on, and I'm a whole lot not impressed. I'm not sure at this point if I just did something stupid or what. I think it's probably salvageable (at least I certainly hope so), but for now, I'm quite disappointed., and am strongly reconsidering the use of the Tamiya coral blue for the body color. mustang1989
LSP_K2
After sanding and some primer, the bench seat now looks much better, though still in need of some tweaking, then I'll be good to paint the interior. mustang1989
LSP_K2
Primered body looks good for paint, so I'm thinking of using my Testors Ice Blue instead of the Tamiya stuff. mustang1989
LSP_K2
A quick polishing up with some steel wool and a rinse, I've now repainted fenders with my Testors gloss black. This I can work with. Shawn M and mustang1989
