I did a high-school book report on the book titled The LADY BE GOOD by Dennis McClendon not long after it was published.

 

Too bad I can't get a real set of decals for her, in at least 1/48th for the old Monogram kit..

 

I suppose it must be some sort of royalty thing.

So Sad but a great story of human determination when all hope seems gone.  Rest in peace Lady's Men.

It's a pity that she was removed from the desert floor. Would have been much more respectful to leave her there.

Thank you gentlemen in sharing this memorial that reminds us of the often unseen cost of those who paid the ultimate price so others might enjoy the fruits  of their sacrifice.

When you get the time to listen to the full report, you will discover that before the remains were removed, after the wreckage was discovered, "suddenly" various survey parties, etc., found reason to "happen by" and pick the wreckage for souvenirs.

 

I assume their family members were in on the decision.
