otis252
Why wouldn't you just get the HB MK VB Trop kit? From what I've read, it sounds like a great kit. Are there any online builds or reviews here on LSP? Thanks. Chuck
Elger
If you're a purist there are reasons to not go for the Hobbyboss 1/32 Spitfire Vb. The front windscreen is wrong for the type - this is the most obvious issue. Of note is also the spine cross section behind the cockpit, which is very round while it should be somewhat flat on the top. The fuselage also looks a little bit fat. But in terms of engineering and detail it's a great kit.
tchwrma
It's more simple convert the Revell MkII to a MkV. I have one of these to convert. I intend to use the short tip of the Tamiya MkIX tyo do a LF MkV. And if you need to downgrade an MkVIII, you will need to change the front portion of the kit and the wing filters. If you choos the revell kit you only will need the short tip and the exhausts. More simple, to me. This is the MkVIII: The MkV: And the MkI: Just compare the drawings and you will see the differences. cheers, Paulo. Hi Paulo, many thanks. Where did you find these drawings? Ciao from Italy These ones I found with google, but I have a lot of books with drawings. About your project, believe me, the best option is using the Revell new tooling MkII. Cheers, Paulo.
