I like how the pit starts taking shape though, made all your scratchbuilding really worthwhile. It will be nice to see the detail painting. Keep it up! Oh I wanted to do that with mine as well .. but I do not own any powertools, and I'm scared poopless about cutting stuff. Nice work on the armor plate .. came out perfect! Now for the orange background ... my vote is, it has to go. Keep 'em coming, hopefully with the mauve background.
