Hagar
Anyone got any thoughts on painting AB Can interiors? I'm looking for the dusty beigeish look of a used can. Got some Model Master Acrylic Jet exhaust, but while brushing it on a test piece it looks kind of goldish. Maybe lite coats from an airbrush look better. Would appreciate any thoughts and or paint combos, or the such. Thanks James
LSP_Ron
Floquil Concrete looks really good for this application. Ron

geedubelyer
Hi James, Any specific AB can that you're attempting to replicate? Could you post an image or link to one please? The reason I ask is that they can vary from make to make. Some use ceramic coatings so they differ in appearance from metal petals. Different countries seem to use different approaches too. The AB's of Russian aircraft can look different to some US or many European types. Cheers, Guy
LSP_Ron
It is for this build Guy! Cheers Ron
Hagar
Hi Guy, Ron has linked the build. From all the pics I've seen a used can still has the beigeish residue. I havent seen any that looked sooty until they were well used. I have a green base down (something I hadnt been aware of before) and now its just doing the weathering part.
