LSP_K2
Kevin,You might want to hold off on your interior for a bit.If your planning on a camouflaged scheme you'll need to apply Lozenge decaling to the interior first. Then tone it done a bit.Now that I think about it you'll need to do the same even if using a painted scheme. Not to worry though, this project is Outstanding at any rate.Really enjoying your updates and looking forward to the next and all to follow. Regards, Gregory Jouette I appreciate the kind words Greg; fuselage components are not glued in yet, just set them inside to check appearance/fit. I have some five color lightened/back side lozenge from Doug. I'll decal area first, then glue in (painted), airframe parts. Not to worry.
LSP_K2
Tires have had an ample layer of mud smeared on; should look convincing once painted, (I hope).
LSP_K2
The wheels have started to receive "the treatment", whatever that means. Should be OK with the other effects I have planned for this bird, (I hope).
LSP_K2
I believe I'm getting the hang of this now. This, in my opinion, looks way better than my previous attempt. Still to be weathered, and skid plates, rudder pedals, etc. attached.
LSP_K2
Floor has been doctored up a tad with metallic paints and dirt. Also, compass went missing (I have no idea where), so I have built a replacement. New compass may be too large, not real sure. If I decide to do so, I'll just build another. LSP_K2
Wood and metal areas of tail skid have now been painted. I'll add mud later.
LSP_K2
Decal added to lower wing; it always freaks me out when decals buckle up like this!
LSP_K2
All louvers added to starboard side; access panels still to be straightened up and scribed.
LSP_K2
For an old kit, propeller isn't too bad; a few minor sink marks, and profile seems to be correct.

LSP_K2
Not a lot to update this evening; skid plates added, new compass built. Should be getting lots more done this weekend and next.
LSP_K2
Rebuilt instrument panel, but I suspect I'm going to do another; not real happy with this one. I have conflicting data in my references as to configuration, I'll try to resolve tomorrow.
LSP_K2
I have begun work on the rocker arms, and boy are they tiny! I figure if I can get two mirror image rockers built, I can just cast copies, so I'm trying real hard to make them look good, as they will be very visible. LSP_K2
Kit provided piece for gun supports is sort of clunky, so I’m rebuilding, including tachometer. I’ll probably also replace supports, as they are shaped wrong.
LSP_K2
Here's a photo of the (partially), rebuilt support. At the time I took this photo, I didn't realize the gun supports were the wrong shape, (but I do now)!
