Loic Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Hey Butler, it looks great and especially as this was a speedy build! Cheers, Loic
LSP_Kevin Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 That's really turned out great Butler! Very nice indeed. I have a question about the upper surface colour though - what did you use? It looks too light to my eye. Kev
Butler Posted February 28, 2009 Author Posted February 28, 2009 You're right, it's probably a few shades lighter than it should be. This is not a build for Sea Venom fans i'm afraid! You'll see I didn't paint the nose black either, I think it makes it look a little toy-like. I followed Revell's slightly vague instructions of 90% grey, 10% black for the top colour. Surely that's still grey? I just grabbed the darkest grey in my small paint collection and splashed it on
KOTR Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Well, the colour lacks a bit the "extra" in "extra dark sea gray" Otherwise, its looking great, and indeed, its a nice model, that just needs a little attention
ruzlkampf Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Hurray! Another model COMPLETED for this GB!! Looks great Butler, I like it. I sure do get a kick outta your unorthodox and uniquely pragmatic building methods, materials, processes, and subjects. Very cool, and enlightening dude. I can tell you know how to have FUN!!! Can't wait to see your next subject. Russ
