  1. Hello Gents, During a move, somehow I lost the two propellers to my almost completed Roden O-2A. Before I get to frustrated and heave it into a wall, I thought I would ask opinions on possible aftermarket replacements or a substitute to make it not so bad as to pitch it. Thanks for any input and best to all, Dale
  2. Thanks everyone for your pics and advice. It confirmed some thoughts I had but was unsure of. Thanks again and best to all.
  3. Greetings Gents, Building a B-25J and and am interested in your inputs on the fuselage colors. I will be using decals for "Bottoms Up To Toledo". I believe this was with the 340th BG, 15th AF. I've read all sorts of paint jobs from olive drab to British Green. Then intermediate gray or aluminum on the bottom. Depends on whose "authority" one reads. Anyway, you all have a better working knowledge of this question and I trust it more. Let me know what you think and thanks in advance, Best regards, Dale
  4. I have 43 jets, 64 prop, 11 helo, four non-aircraft, and a B-25 on the bench. That is 118 aircraft displayed all in 1/32 scale. Is there any other scale? If you're enjoying it then there is never too many. That makes none in the stash. I want them built when I have time. Just saying....
  5. Hello Gents, I apologize if this is not the place to ask this, but does anyone have two M64 bombs for the Trumpeter Skyraider that I can buy? I am building the VA-25 "toilet bomber" and it needs six of these and my kit has four. If anyone has a couple extra I would be happy to buy them. Not sure why I bother with accuracy becasue when I look at what you all build compared to mine, I should leave the hobby...lol. In the mean time, I hope this finds everyone doing well. Best regards, Dale
  6. Ron, thanks for the pics. I think I got it pretty good now between your reply and Cluinkmeister's. Thanks again gents. Dale
  7. Clunkmeister....sounds good....thanks for the advice....I really appreciate it.
  8. Hello Gents, I have started a Trumpeter Navy Skyraider kit and mine has zilch for color reference regarding the engine components. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dale
  9. Thank you both for your input. Clunkmeister, could you scan the paint chart/instructions that came with your model and shoot it to me? Either way, thanks again gents. Dale
  10. Seasons greetings Gents, Does anyone know where I can find the paint scheme for Commander Stoddard's Skyraider of the VA-25. I am looking for the paint job of NE/572 which he flew when he dropped the toilet bomb. Is it the same as Trumpeter's AD-6 kit? And if it is could someone scan it and send it to me? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and I hope this finds everyone doing well. Regards, Dale
  11. Greetings,

I want to thank you for your post on the Hawk you built. It is going to save me a great deal of time. Primarily because after seeing yours I think I'll skip my build and give it to my six year old to play with. That was some beautiful work. I was looking at Humbrol 174 for the red and either 25 or 104 for the blue. Could you please tell me what exactly you used? Thanks...

  12. Kagemusha, Thank you for the information, it is appreciated very much. Regards, Dale
  13. Hello Gents, I am sorry if this question has been asked before, but I have searched and could not find the answer to it all. I am looking for the correct colors for the Red Arrows Hawk. I believe Humbrol 174 is used for the red (a gloss coat afterwards, of course) and maybe Humbrol 25 or 104 for the blue? The blue I reall am not sure of. I will order the paints just as soon as the experts here can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance to you all. Best regards, Dale
  14. Hi, No, this one is painted as seen at the 1973 Paris Air Show. It appears to be in standard color, but not sure. Any thoughts would be welcome. And thanks for dropping me a line. Regards, Dale
  15. Hello Gents, I bought an F5-E by Kangman and finding the colors listed to be ambiguous in deciphering their blends. Any thoughts on the top color would be welcome. Otherwise I will go with a standard color unless I am missing something. Thanks in advance for your time, Dale
