  2. Years ago, in Madison, WI, I knew an artist from what was then Yugoslavia who owned a Velocette Thruxton 500cc single cylinder motorcycle. It weighed alittle over 300 pounds. Factory gloss black with gold lettering. I LOVED the way it looked and said so to him. He offered to let me ride it. Normally, I never rode anyone else's bike, but I knew that this would be the only chance I would have so I said that if I dropped it, I would buy it from him. And away I went. It was great! I will never forget that ride. When I got back, we were talking and he said that he thought that it was so beautiful that during the winter, he stored it in his living room so he could look at it everyday! Put that B-17G in a plastic or glass box on a pedastal in your living room and call it "Art". With all the crap we see out there called "Art", this really will be "ART"!

  11. Steve, "Will you be supporting LSP by providing the staff with a sample for review? Or otherwise providing samples to another site, and merely using this Forum as a vehicle for promoting your products?" First, we have supported LSP for several years now by purchasing an ad on the site. Do you mean to say that this isn't enough to allow us to post some information about new kits from time to time? Secondly, we try to promptly post information that we think LSP'ers will be interested in knowing. This is done sparingly and only on one other aircraft site. Third, we respond to input from LSP'ers about which kits to make in the future by, in some cases, actually making those kits. Fourth, our experiences with sending out build/review samples over the last 10 years has been less than satisfactory. One magazine sold our review samples. Another had an expensive resin kit for over a year without any work being done on it. Some reviewers have not finished the kits before we sold out of them. Tom Cleaver has been consistently good about doing build reviews promptly which is why we continue to send him review kits. I don't recall that anyone from LSP has ever asked us for a review kit. Not saying they haven't, just don't recall it happening. Last, there have been several reviews of this kit (one by Tom) already along with lots of sprue photos. We sent our only sample out Friday to be built by some professional builders. They will furnish us information and photos which we can make available to web-sites. This will NOT be a limited production kit. Thanks and Best Regards, Ken PCM, Inc.
  12. Hello Mike, "Who does my LHS order from?" They can order from us. Just ask them to contact us. info@pacmodels.com 707-538-4850 after 10:00AM Pacific Time. Best Regards, Ken PCM, Inc.
  13. "is the kit a limited release as was proposed by Wingscale, limited to 2500?" They have not mentioned this to us. Best Regards, Ken PCM
  14. "Any idea of the shipping charges within the U.S.? The PCM website does not indicate what the shipping charges will be. Budget is tight and shipping costs will decide if I get this version or wait for the gunship." It depends on where you live and the method of shipping. One kit, boxed, will weigh about 5 pounds, 5 ounces. It is too big for 1st Class Mail. Best Regards, Ken PCM, Inc.
  15. Greetings, "Do you know if the kit comes with any photo-etch parts?" Yes, there is a small sheet with pilot/co-pilot seat belts and a few other pieces. "Also, have you been advised what the markings are yet?" No, we were informed that the decals included were not the production decals which are being made now. Also, if you have a local hobby shop, we encourage you to order from them. If you don't have one, you can order from us or any of the internet shops which will be carrying this brand. Thanks and Best Regards, Ken PCM, Inc.
  16. Greetings, Here is the latest news about the HK Models B-25J Bomber version. The kit is now in production so we are hoping to have it late March. Yesterday, we received a sample kit which looked real nice to us. Two of us looked it over. Today it is being sent out to be built. This will be a speed build to check the fit. As we get further information, we will post it. Pre-orders quantities are large, so get your order in now at: www.pacmodels.com. You can e-mail us at: info@pacmodels.com. Thanks and Best Regards, Ken Lawrence Pacific Coast Models, Inc.
  17. Greetings! For all of you U.K., European customers, both Relish Models and Freightdog Models are now stock our MK.XIVc kit. I don't know how this will work out price wise, but I wish you all the best for it. Sales of the Hurricanes have been very steady and stocks are decreasing at an acceptable rate. We have another project in the works, but may come back to a MK.II Hurri in the future. Thanks for your support! Cheers, Ken PCM, Inc.
  18. Currently, we do not have a distributor in the UK. We did contact a couple of model shops without success. So at this time, if you wish to get one, please order direct from us or ask your local shop to contact us. Thanks and Best Regards, Ken Lawrence Pacific Coast Models, Inc.
  19. "hmmmm....i honestly think that's a bit weak from PCM: don't call it an 'e' if it's not an 'e'. that is just plain misleading in my view, and a bit is similar to what they did with the IX." Nick, if you look in our catalog, this kit is clearly titled "MK.XIVc". A little less pressure on the trigger finger and a reading of the kit title will do the trick. As far as our MK.IX kits go, the major differences between the two kits were the rudders and the extensive decal sheets. There were also different gun blisters if I remember correctly. Cheers, Ken PCM, Inc.
  20. Greetings! We just received this new kit (PCM 32015) into our warehouse today. We will be boxing the kits and shipping as soon as possible. Thanks and Best Regards, Ken Lawrence Pacific Coast Models, Inc.
  21. Shipping begins 2/21. www.pacmodels.com. Cheers, Ken PCM, Inc.
  22. Greetings to all, Our new 1:32 Ta-152C-1 kit has arrived and we will begin shipping next week. It looks really good to me and the people who saw it at the show in Petaluma today. Lots more really good details! You can see it at our web-site at: www.pacmodels.com. Thanks and Best Regards, Ken PCM, Inc.
  23. Greetings, We have what we hope is the final draft of the boxart for our new Ta-152C kit up on our web-site at: www.pacmodels.com. Thanks and Merry Christmas, Ken Lawrence Pacific Coast Models, Inc.
  24. Hi Charles, <<I hereby second what Radu said. Although your Ta 152 C kit's box art might benefit from a bit more dihedral, correcting the wing it shows is absolutely, positively crucial, because wingspan is far and away the most obvious -- though by no means the only -- external difference between Cs and Hs.>> I have sent another e-mail to the artist about the length and width of the wings. I am also scanning some drawings for him tonight which should help him with the wings. We posted the draft and asked our consultant for his opinion which he freely gave. Hopefully our artist can make the changes we want. Our next kit, PCM 32013 WILL BE the Hazeair flying bathtub/automobile!! Keep watching for the imminent annoucement. Cheers, Ken PCM, Inc.
  25. <<The Ta152C is listed as kit #32014. The metal winged Hurricane was #32012. What was #32013?? Not released yet?>> We won't be using the number 32013. Best regards, Ken PCM, Inc.
