  1. Hey Chuck, I havent been around for a while, great to see your back! And wow, another great build in progress. I will stick around know your back, and no, I'm not a stalker Cheers Damian
  2. Hey Chuck, I havent been around much as I have been busy with work/life outside the temple of modeling aka my model room. Your build has come along considerably since I last droped in, saying "well done" feels cheap in comparison to what you have done (I woke up and writting this at 3am). Thank you again for taking time to capture your build, I learn so much from your dedication to post the details of each build stage and your projects in general. All the very best. Damian
  3. What can one say about perfection... nothing Till the next post.
  4. Superb work as always Chuck. I'm sitting in the back row watching you create another masterpiece. I look forward to your next update, it may give me motivation to progress my own project. Damian
  5. As always Peter, impeccable work! Your attention to detail to everything is great. Looking forward to your next update. Damian
  6. Sorry Kevin, i did copy it, forgot to paste it. About to purchase a set myself. Damian
  7. Great work as usual Chuck. Several pages back you made mention of the diamond Dremmel bit set. Banggood have them, they choice of payment methods include paypal. I have bought numerous stuff from BG and never not received it, quality is good. Keep up the stellar work, I look forward to your next lesson in fine scale modelling. Damian
  8. Brilliant work Dirk! I also went for the mask set from Eduard, way to fiddly to mask without them, my new favourite item. Did you polish the turret prior to paint? Thanks again for posting. Damian
  9. Great work Dirk. Really like your attention to detail. Keep it coming! Damian
  10. Watching you build Peter, is a pure pleasure. Your attention to detail is, well, exceptional. Keep it up. Damian P.S. I was sad to hear that you where unable to get your Mossie to be judged, that build was what got me back into modelling after more than a decade hiatus. Thank You.
  11. Hey Bryan, How are you progressing with your stunning build, any updates on the way? Damian
  12. Very nice detail indeed, well done. I'm trying to build a 1/48 Hobby Boss version, so I'm very keen learning from other builds.
  13. Thank you Chuck. I was having serious withdrawal symptoms after your last build log finished. I very much look forward to following along with you on this journey. Damian
  14. Chuck, It's a very sad day, 1. I don't have the chance to visually see you create your masterpieace, and 2. I don't get a chance to learn from your techniques until next time. Thank you for taking the time to share. Damian P.S. Your build is stunning.
  15. Only one word really captures what you have created in my mind Chuck, that is "Magnificent". Thank you for adding to your tutorial and for taking the time to show us all this build. Damian
  16. Excellent scratch build work Bryan! As soon as I get some personal problems sorted and get bench time, It will be my pleasure to provide a link. Keep up the great work, and thank you for taking the time to post. Damian
  17. Hey Peter, I hope all is well with you, just having withdrawal from your posts as you have been away from the bench for some time. I look forward to getting caught up when you get time. Damian
  18. Thanks for the update Chuck, I will read through your original post again. Excellent work.
  19. Thank you Chuck for taking the time to put together such an invaluable tutorial for us all too use to become better at our craft. I'm personaly very grateful, that both you and Peter, are so generous to provide such detailed information in this form. One question, which I may have missed, but do you trim all the clear carrier film from each decal you use? Or is it the surface prep and finishing clear coat that eliminates the silvering? Thanks again Chuck, well done and thanks for contribution. Damian
  20. Your correct, that is my 1/48 Hobby Boss Avenger 1C build on FSM. The main difference is scale and I'm attemting the reverse. I will watch this build will great interest, excellent detail work so far.
  21. One more very important item to add, Great work Kevin. One can't resist the lovely lines of a Corsair, and yours is shapping up to be a great example.
  22. Interesting, It took almost two bottles to cover my Corsair F4U-6 AU-1. The model was primied with MRP grey primer. I had alot of problems sorting out pressure at the begining when testing the paint, which I settled on between 10-14psi max. I have purchased over a dozen various colours for other projects, but I'm still not sold on the product.
  23. My experience was OK, they do shoot great and have a good colour range, however the coverage is a real problem. Takes alot more MRP to cover the same area as other acrylic that are thinned. As they are not cheap I think I will stick with other brands.
  24. Peter, Irrespective of the right or wrong seat cusion colour, the cockpit looks sensational. Well done.
