  1. True, maybe the Kingfisher P6 will a good seller too?
  2. Correct: It was not remotely accurate and was on only surpassed by the Merlin lump of soap, that passed as a TSR-2. The latter is the definition of an unbuilldable kit. At the time the Contrail kit was the only game in town and was for a long time.
  3. It was originally deisgined It was originally designed for thier own kit (which was available first) not the Revell kit.
  4. Back in the '70s I remember building: 1/72 Contrail TSR-2 and Blackburn Beverley, the 1/48 Pamela Veal Meteor F8 and various Rareplanes kits. Now! Those are the epitome of challenging builds. The modelling community are in relative terms spoiled these days.
  5. A wonderful post. The swearing, I assume is suposed to be attention grabing or is it lack of vocabulary, dunno you decide?
  6. Wasn't the Kingfisher in 1/32 originally a Silver Wings kit? They certainly produced the CAD renders. I strongly suspect KH aquired these in an economic manner and that maybe the the origin of the kit? rather than a wadded benefactor.
  7. The HpH Arado 1/32 catapult was well priced at £45. I guess Lone Star are just upscaling thier 1/48 P6. Much as I admire Lone Star's work, I'd rather HpH do it. Just a personal opinion of course.
  8. Agreed, no is strange option to have. It is a little meaningless in my opinion.
  9. The Vought Corsair, Curtiss Seagull and of course the Kingfisher all used the P6. I have the HpH Arado catapult, its way cool with limited photo etch and a neat price too.
  10. Agreed! Its all about driving folk to his website, not about modelling.
  11. Its a great kit, what we need is a P6 catapult to go with it.
  12. Its a stunningly good kit. Don't let someones poor modelling skills get in your way $40 is a steal.
  13. Yes please to a Kingfisher P6 catapult.
  14. Yep would deffo, dip for a P6 catapult, what a way to display the Kingfisher! Always loved the Kingfisher since I got the Airfix kit as Christmas present back in the late '60s. Got Lone Star 1/48 catapult and the WEM and the Attack Squadron ones. We need a 1/32 one too.
