Hi All, I built this kit a while back now and what a beauty it was. Detail from the box was great with superb clear canopies and a very passable engine. To the super detailers amongst you, this could definately be a show stopper. I believe that Revell is bringing (Or brought) out the single float version? That will be another hit on my wallet. Anyhoo, heres some pics, Thanks for looking, ...Guy

review Scale Aircraft Conversions Bristol Beaufighter Landing Gear (Revell)

I recently bought some for a 1/24 109 im building. The kits parts are just cack. Both halves of the moulding aren't aligned and there's a spurious part of the wheel fixed to the leg as well. So, I needed these SAC legs. The thing with them that I find a little off is the Scissor part of the oleo is modelled 'Fully extended'. As if the weight of the A/C has totally left the legs. Surely to God 99.9% of modellers are going to model their plane stood on its wheels? Modifying this is going to be real agro, ...Guy -
I've just looked again and you're right. Looking from the left side, there should be just a single line to the left of the panel line and then a single line, on the next panel line up, to the right of it. ...Guy

Thanks for the help. I did a quick search for the 'watch makers grainer tool' and came up with nada. Do you have a link you could point me too? ...Guy

Hi all, Does anyone sell a rivet making tool for 1/24? I have a 1/32 one from MDC but im reckoning it will look a little small on my 1/24 109. I found a universal type with lots of different probes on Evil bay but it was based in China. Some of that Chinese stuff takes months to arrive. Any ideas? Something a little closer to home maybe? ...Guy

Im sorry if I was a little confusing. I do that sometimes lol. But I mean the radiator itself has a door out the back and in this door on some pics I've seen, there is a notch cut out of it? What is this blighter for, and which said does it need to be on. Does it need to be there at all? ...Guy

Hi All, Im in the process of building Airfix's 1/24 scale beastie and have come to a bit of a quandary. On the wing radiators there seems to be no end of different types of rad door.(The one that opens to the rear of the rad)Some with a little notch out on the port side, some with a notch out both sides and some with none at all. What is that notch for? Think I knew that once but hey, im older now. My model can either be an E3 or and E4 so I was wondering, what style should it be; also what is that confounded notch for? ...Guy

Hi all, Ive just bought the Airfix monster of this kit and I intend to bring it up to scratch, so to speak. Does anyone have, or know of a good place to get a decent rivet diagram for the thing. There are countless workarounds for it so that's not an issue but re-riveting it is a must, hence the need. Any other advice/tips would be gratefully received. Many thanks in advance, ...Guy

I love the 1st 'Side on' pic on the grass base with the blue sky in the background. Absolutely gorgeous, ...Guy

Now that is a beauty, ...Guy

HI all, Ive just bought this monster from Ebay and was wondering if its any good or not (Not arrived yet) It appears that there aren't a lot of AM goodies for it and decent reviews are a bit thin on the ground. Any help/pointers would be gratefully appreciated, ...Guy

Beautiful Mike...err.. the model not you...though im sure you're beautiful in your own way lol, ...Guy

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Old Dog, you look fairly familiar ;-) Mike you have a stash to envy for sure. If you've doubled any up by mistake, theres a willing recipient of any generosity down here in Dorset ...Guy

Another cracker. I really like the base. That's one aspect of my modelling that I've never really had a go at. ...Guy

Another Beauty, Mike. These WNW kits are just soo addictive, ...Guy

Oh and Kev, its Guy Shepherd.

Thx for the comments Mike. The lozenge decals are all WNW. I just toned them down afterwards with, I think, some beige coloured oil paint. As for the wood effect, it was all done with oils over a cream coloured acrylic base. As for the engine, I always have the pics as reminders lol. I have a Gotha in my stash that really wants to be built. Maybe that will be next. ...Guy

Of course. you never need to ask chum, ...Guy

Hi All, Im new here but have been hovering in the sidelines for a while now. Ive finally decided to post up some of my work for your inspection. Be gentle, This kit was everything i hoped it would be, with perfect fit throughout, excellent destructions and perfect decals. I only added a few bits of wire for detailing and a pack or 2 of Bobs buckles for the rigging. ...Guy
