  2. Hello all, I was browsing eBay and came across this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-32-scale-MIG-29-Fulcan-aircraft-ACE-model-kit-/121448549197?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item1c46e5cb4d 1/32 MiG Fulcrum by ACE. Does anyone know if this is a new kit or copy of Revell or Trumpeter's? Thanks for any input regarding this! Gary
  3. Hello, If I may chime in.. I heard there was an issue with the shape of the nose also. If that's true do you ahve any planes to look into that too? I have the A-10 in the stash and would really like to get it done one day... Thanks! Gary V. Redondo Beach
  4. This may be slightly off topic, but when I was younger I saw many models of a Japanese F-4 Phantom in a light blue and white camo pattern with very soft edges.. almost cloud-like. My searches for pictures of such have come up empty. Anyone out there know what I'm referring to? Maybe it was ficticious? I have seen many F-4 models painted that way back "then".. Just curious because I thought it was unusual and pretty cool in a way.. Thanks! Gary
  5. Hi There, I know the Revell is said to only vaguely resemble a P-51B but I was curious if the Aires wheel well set would work in the old kit? I have 3 or 4 in the stash and can only hope there will be something to cut down on "fixing" the wheel well.. among other things.. (that may not be fixable.. Thanks! Gary
  6. Thanks everyone! Sorry for the slow response!
  7. Hi Jack, I can be reached at mrgv65 at yahoo dot com Thanks so much!
  8. Hi Jack, Sure! I'm would appreciate that! Thanks!
  9. Hello, I was wondering if anyone out there had a drawing of the infamous wing spar for the P-51? I have the 1/24 MPC kit and would like to try to build up the wheel wells since the kit has none! Also if anyone has the instructions for said kit, please let me know. My kit doesn't have them... Thanks! Gary
  10. HI, I just picked up a 1/24th Airfix Spitfire mk 1A. Does anyone know if there is an exhaust set available? I looked at the vendors here and did not see a set available. Thanks! Gary
  11. Hi, Following up on my previous post, I was hoping to get opinions re the two kits as to which is a better kit, value or otherwise! Thanks again! Gary
  12. Thanks Kevin and Jennings! One more question: Which would you go with? Airfix P51 or Bandai? Are the Bandai kits equal to the Airfix/MPC kits in detail and fit or vice cersa?? Thanks again! Gary
  13. Hi, I was wondering about the "vintage" 1/24 scale kits... are they all the same plastic? I mean for example, is the Airfix P-51 the same as the MPC and Bandai? I know the Trumpeter kits are new .. I was curious about the others I have seen.. Thanks! Gary
  14. Hello, I was wondering if the Arfix 1/24 Spitfire is worth the effort or should it be passed on? I know many kits from that era can be "difficult". I don't need to wrestle anything only to find out I should've passed on it. Thanks in advance for your input! Cheers! Gary V.
  15. Would this be the same as the "G" series or completely different? Thanks! Gary
  16. Hi, I thought the P-40K had the "big tail".. does this kit come with both? Thanks! Gary V.
  17. Hello, The "K" is the big tail, correct? Thanks! Gary V.
  18. Thanks everyone! So basically tou can make an A1a from the A2a, correct?
  19. Thanks! So The A2a only has the 2 gun parts? I was hoping for the 4 gun intallation...not thrilled about the "bomber version".. but that's the one I have... somewhere..(!)
  20. Hello, Does anyone know if there is difference between these two kits as to the contents of each boxing? Are they the same parts or do they include/delete different parts? Hope this makes sense! Thanks for any info! Gary
  21. Thanks 98Wrangler! Did you notice the instructions are wrong re the leading edge ducting? I you try to put the ducts in the way the instructions are printed you will find the parts call outs are transversed. C-34 should go where C-37 goes and vice versa... Have to keep my eyes open on this one!!!
  22. Thanks! Maybe the kit parts will do then... I thought they looked too plain but I guess not! Thanks!
  23. I forget the manufacturer that has been producing brass gun barrels as of late but does anyone know if brass barrels for the P-39 are available? Thanks! Gary
  24. Thanks! I had read about the "shortness" and that is great to know.. I probably won't be doing anything about that though as it would probably lead to an unfinished model.. for me that is. Are there any builds that outline construction/fit issues? issues? Thanks again! Gary
  25. I'm planning to start the Special Hobby P-39D Airacobra soon. Any advice regarding tricky issues that others may have discovered? Trying to avoid being thwarted by this kit. Thanks! Gary
