  1. Hi, Didn't I mention the new Revell kit yesterday...?? Erwin
  2. Hello, Wouldn't it be just more simply to get a Revell Mk-1 kit ?? Maybe one of the LSP members has one for sale or trade. Greetings.
  3. Hello Thierry, Like you,I olso have never seen a bubble Typhoon ! I don't know where the other LSP member got the info from, but I think he is wrong on this one. If someone else can provide hard proof that there ever was one, please let us know. greetings all, Erwin
  4. I'm planning to build the Revell 32nd Typhoon, but I want to change the car-door into a bubble Typhoon. Is it a difficult job,and is there a canopy for sale to make that version ? If there is one for sale ,can anyone help me in buying one for me,those thing are verry hard to find in Belgium. I would olso want a landinggear set, because the one in the kit look poor. Thanks for looking, Erwin
  5. Hi all, I agry with you on the old Revel kits. They make you feel 25 years younger again. When I see an old kit in a shop or at a concention for a good price I'll buy it,even if it is just for the fun of it. Thats why my hobby-room,yes I have my own room witch if FORBIDDEN for all the other family members,is filled with old Revell kits and some Has. I'm olso not a pro-modeller by far,I even paint all my models by brush ! So modelling for me is pure fun. When a model turns out well done,I'm glad. If not so well done, so be it . That's something that bodders me at conventions.Where do you vind a catagory "straight from the box" these days ? It all hase to be with lots of extras,or you can forget ever winning a price. Alldough I was 3 rd once with a Has Hellcat . People forget the basic,it a hobby for fun!! Just my opinion folks, don't shoot me (you'll need a big gun anyway to reach me in Belgium ) Erwin
  6. I just got the Revell/Matchbox Tiger Moth.1/32 nd. I am surpriced to find float-parts in the kit ,they are not on the build-plan.Does the old Matchbox plan show them ? I never saw pics of a Sea Tiger Moth. But since there are parts for one, they most have been used as a spotter-plane on British warships during WW-2. I allways tought it was the Swordfish they used as a spotter Anyone have more info on this ?
  7. Not a large scale model, but a big model. A few weeks ago I bought the Lindberg 1/48 th kit.,at a garage-sale,it comes with lots of extra's( tractor, starecase, launchplatform, figures, etc.) Did I buy a strange bird or not? I'll never build it myself,so its for sale for 8 € or $ plus postage.
  8. I'm building the old Revell 1/32 nd Bf 109 G. I cut the engine hood in half to dispay it in open position to show the engine. My question now: Was there a sort of middle bar, where they were atacheted to, to hold the halfs in place once opened? I have a pic in open position were the are held open by a rod,but I don't have a view from above. Erwin (sorry for the spelling faults )
  9. I just went to the Revell website. Your right, the U-boat will be a hit ! What a model,to bad they don't mention a price. I think its not going to be cheap. I once visited a real U-boot at Kiel,Germany.A museum piece where you can walk inside. Since then I've wanted to make a U-boot,but all the old Revell kits are a bit on the small side so this 1/72 nd is what I want. They will olso make the P-38 again. To bad ,because that one is still around in the old kits. Revell could have done better here .
  10. I've started the Revell 1/32 nd Bf.109 trop, but Some quetions pop up. I'll make the version with the underwing cannons, and some things aren't clear to me (not much of a 109 expert ). 1. Do I put the bulges on the model just in front of the cockpit ? 2. The gun barrels on top of the engine aren't the same lenght in the kit.I got some info were it shows both stick out the same from the engine hood. In the old Revell kit they are both the same. What is right ?
