joker
Hi All, I am currently building Tamiya's F4U-1A as an early FAA Mk IV, hopefully finishing it for the Group Build - Colour My World Blue, I've hit a bit of a minor roadblock. Apparently after the Mk II, all FAA Corsair seat belts were changed over to the Sutton Q style...Is this the same belt used by the Spitfire/Seafire? ....the style that looks like a "Y" and has brass grommets on the belts themselves... HGW calls the belts "QK" would they be correct to use? As an Armour builder, I'm way out of my comfort level, so any help pointing me in the right direction would be great. Thanks for your time and patience, Pete
Guest
Pete, if it calls f or a Sutton harness, then yes, that would be correct....Harv
BloorwestSiR
Pete, there should be a specific set for FAA Corsairs made by HGW. I have a set of them in the stash somewhere. Also, Tamiya has a set of FAA belts on the PE fret included with the kit. Hope that helps. Carl joker and LSP_K2
joker
Thanks Harvey, appreciated. Carl, You Sir are correct, never noticed that (apparently!)..I wonder if Tamiya had plans at one time to release a FAA Corsair. Thanks again, P
