New scribing tools

Hi everyone,

I would like to announce my latest tools for engraving panel lines in plastic and resin.

Scribe-R (Parallel): http://www.radubstore.com/index.php?main_p...products_id=343

Scribe-R (Angled left): http://www.radubstore.com/index.php?main_p...products_id=344

Scribe-R (Angled right): http://www.radubstore.com/index.php?main_p...products_id=342

These scribers can be used in two ways:

- the sharp blade end can be used in a manner similar to other scribers, either free-hand or running along a hard edge, such as a ruler. This removes a fine burr of material leaving a clean groove behind.

- the back (curved) edge of the holder has extremely fine teeth that act like a file and leave a very fine groove behind. This is ideal for scribing edge panel lines such as wing edges, fuselage spines etc. But it can also be used by running it along a hard edge such as a ruler.

The tools are made entirely from stainless steel. More similar tools will follow.

Thank you for your support,

Radu

How the hell do you keep coming up with these ideas man! I must confess I had to think about how you might use them until I saw your diagram for the louvres...wow. I just can't say enough how simple and elegant a tool the Scribe-R is. I thought it was so much of an evolution beyond anything else out there that we'd kinda seen the pinnacle...then you bring out these as well..phew. I'm trying not to sound like a psycophant...I'm just really really impressed. You're seriously good at this Radu.

Thanks Matt,

I have a few "in development" (meaning that I am thinking about them a lot) all the time. :notworking: I just need to find the time to test and develp them.

Most of the times, they "come to me" when I work on my models and I keep trying to figure out ways to do things. Throughout the years I found myself improvising and using stuff for purposes other than intended and then thinking "why doesn't anyone make this as a purpose-built tool?". One thing usually leads to another and before you know it, I become that "anyone" who just makes the tool.

There will be more soon.

Radu
