Chris/Germany
Oh, Santa has been good to me this year! After watching AVP on DVD a few weeks ago my son ( 14) was deeply impressed by those creatures and nearly made me mad by asking and dreaming of how "great and cool" it would be to have such a beast as a modell. As a loving dad I looked for some stuff in the web and found some great kits of Predator, so Santa brought one for my son Marian.........ok, to be honest..................got one for me too Started work of the first one yesterday ( I´m sure you know kids and their new toys........and modelling dads ), here are a few shots. Kit is vinyl ( kind of soft plastic, easy to handle, can be glued with superglue, and is much cheaper as a full resin kit), lance is scratched from brass and alu tubings and alusheet. Although a lot of filling, sculpturing and sanding is left before starting the paintjob this beast looks great! Think I´ll take a figure from time to time as a appreciated alternation from building plane-cutaways. Enjoy cheers Chris "the ripper" ( rippin´ Aliens in future )

LSP_Matt
ahhhhaaaa you as well Here's mine so far. I filled mine with fast setting dental stone. That gives them nice weight and helps hold all the bits together internally as well. I have a copy of an fairly old FSM that does a lovely Predator if you'd like me to scan it in. The pics I sent you were what I found on the web. I also have photos of some completed ones from a Japanese Hobby store up here in Box Hill...man that one was sweet Whodathunkit
LSP_Matt
Err yep...my still to finish bathroom...only painting to go. And I saw the dates wrong on the digi camera. ( pfft...should be dodgy camera...need to estimate focus by virtue of tape measure from object) I'm finishing planes before airbrushing up these puppys...the way I have it posed is for the Predator to be holding the Alien around the throat getting ready to deal a death blow. I have another one of these called Kerberos Panzercop who is this cyborg looking dude in Fallschirmjager type uniform but with body armour. He has a machine pistol in his hand and a MG34 over his shoulders. Out of a Japanese Manga film but looks pretty cool...sort of an ubersoldier. Going to love looking at your ones Chris. The spear you did looks awesome. Cheers Matty
pennausamike
A few years back I built the AES Aliens II Armored Personel Carrier and a few figures. I scraped the dust off them and here they are (Broken pieces next to them). Now, where's my epoxy to glue those resin guns back on.....
pennausamike
The APC was a simple kit in many ways, but had some nice features like the turret that can be moved into transport position. I added some WWII armor accessories and tools, but painted them like they had synthetic handles rather than wood.
