Chris Braid
Having broken all the rules regarding airbrushing over the last couple of years I had a nasty shock last night when I started repainting the room. Having see the level of gunk that was actually on the walls and ceiling I hate to think what my lungs might be like. So a spray booth, where can I buy one that could probably fit most 1/32 models or is there a way I could build one to avoid extreme damage to my bank balance? alaninaustria
Have a look here: http://www.h-haider.de/windex.htm Just click on the: Aircleaner AC 10 Basis (where it says "Mehr Info") I bought one recently and it is the Cat's meow..... perfect for most WWII sized props and it sucks the fumes right through the replaceable filter like a hooker on crack! Cheers Alan Hope that helps....if you need help ordering in German I can help you... they are an excellent company to deal with. And this unit is fully portable... just hook up a length of vacuum hosing and you are good to go....
thierry laurent
Another solution if you're living in a roomy house: buy a cheap or second hand kitchen hood... A friend of mine is using one for years. Moreover, you've no difficulty to find cheap filters, to replace fan parts, etc... Last but not least, they're always large enough! There is only one major drawback: you've to build a support and work table with some MDF or hardboard panels... hence, it is not really suitable if you're living in a tiny appartment...! Chris Braid
Alan thanks, couldn't see a price and Google translator wasn't being overly helpful. Any ideas? Thierry thanks for the suggestion but the room is definitley a box room of the "shoe box" size other wise would probably have a go at this. alaninaustria
Sorry... the website won't allow a direct link... so go to the link I listed above and then click on the 10th selection from the top and then on this new page clink on the top selction in the middl eof the page that says "Mehr Info " (Absauganlagen und Zubehör)..... then click on the top one for 198,60 Euro (Aircleaner AC 10 Basis).... that is your spray booth.... very very nice and very portable... and very light (weight weise).... hope that helps Cheers Alan

Chris Braid
Ads, The vision of me trying to do that whilst fighting off two cats could be amusing However using my highly none targetted airbrush skills I'd soon have a very colourful kitchen. Finally plumped for Seans suggestion and am eagerly awaiting delivery. Hope to have it delivered and built in time for my foray to Telford where much money will be spent hopefully with MDC as the main benefactor.
