flightline
Hi Guys I've been inspired by Chris Sherland's correction article and build ... I have read up on the criticisms of the shape of the Revell cowling but no one has actually done a write up showing where the shape is off; and whether the kit part can be corrected; and if it can be fixed, whether it's sanding job or much more severe surgery is required ! References to the Rutman replacement set are no longer helpful because most of Jerry's excellent stuff is now OOP and all of it fetches crazy prices when it does become available ... So, ... does anyone have a 1/32 scale sectioned drawing of the cowl they can share ? If you do, I'd be mighty grateful "Needs must when the devil drives " ... so I'll master a resin or produce a vac replacement, but I need a starting point and just don't have the references to establish the right shapes to begin. Thanks to anyone who can help ! My direct email is lawqbarr AT optusnet.com.au (You know what to do ... replace the AT and eliminate the spaces ) Regards
MikeMaben
There are many drawings online you could use, it's a matter of how accurate do you need ? These appear to be factory : http://www.plans.aero/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=398 but they aren't free.
