Chris_B-1B
I'm ready to paint my 1/32 Mustang and have used AS-12 in the past for a NMF look. I'm thinking about using Tamiya's lacquer paint flat aluminum (can't remember what number it is) and was wondering if anyone has used it for a NMF finish and also what the best thinner to paint ratio is for Tamiya LP paints. Any thoughts on this are appreciated. Thanks! Chris rafju
scvrobeson
If you go for the Tamiya LP-11 Silver, it's really close to the AS-12 that you're looking for. It can thin with Mr. Leveling Thinner, but Tamiya also makes a Lacquer Thinner Retarder Type specifically for their paints. I'd thin around 50:50 Matt rafju
