I can't say how good the translation is, but it's worth trying. https://www.youtube.com/@bacuffz In the video "Mein Leben als Jagdflieger im JG 77 1943 - 1945 - My life as a fighter pilot in JG 77 1943 - 1945" there is an interesting piece of information, when picking up a brand new Bf 109, the Bf's with Italian DB's engine were preferred over the German DB's.
