TAMIYA 1/32nd Tomcat and AIRES AM for Trumpy Tomcat

Will the Aires 1/32nd F-14 u/c bays (main and nose) fit the Tamiya F-14?

I have done a dryfit off the nose wheelbay and its to small.

but i think with a few strips off evergreen you can put it in place

i only dondt know how it will work out iff you use a resin cockpit

I know iff used withe the trumpeter kit you have a problem you cant fit the pit and wheelbay in

 

about the main weel i dondt know i have to try that

Another issue in trying this, other than the bit fit issues, is that the landing gear design is very different between the trumpeter kit and the Tamiya kit. Being the Aires kit is designed for the trumpeter kit and not tamiya, it could be difficult to get enough strength in the main landing gear to hold a tomcat. But I'll be very interested in seeing how it works out.
