BGB
Hello, Not sure but maybe the landing light was different than the standard one. Cheers Boris

Edgar Brooks
Gleed's "LK-A" (which is in some issues of the kit) was over-painted black at the end of 1940; there are a couple of photos of it in Aircam no.24.

Erwin
Thank you for the info.AFAIk it's only the "blinkers"added. It should make an easy paintjob.
Aptivaboy
Much as I hate Wikipedia: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Hurricane_night_fighters,_486_Squadron.JPG Interesting that this later mark Hurri doesn't appear to have nonstandard exhausts: https://www.flickr.com/photos/damopabe/3298082477/ Other photos I've seen show no exhaust shrouds. When 85 Squadron transitioned from a day to a night outfit after the Battle of Britain, they supposedly just painted the planes black and that was it. I've read where Peter Townsend wasn't happy with the change of role, and the lack of training and proper equipment, which may suggest a lack of exhaust shrouds. To be sure, get photos of the plane or at least the squadron that the plane you're modeling was in and go from there. I don't doubt that some, perhaps most did get the shrouds eventually, but check photos to be sure. Erwin
I've been told to look out with the exhausts. Some had a six-part one rather than the more common three-part.
