LSP_Ron Posted January 12, 2015 Share Posted January 12, 2015 Is there a way of Parkerising them in miniature? The last 50 cal I looked at wasn't blue, it was a sort of dark kakhi grey colour. Tim We have huge parkerising tanks in my machine shop, we parkerise everything we make. All you should need is the fluid and some form of heat. I'll find out. Kwen Posted January 13, 2015 Share Posted January 13, 2015 Alclad has a gloss black for that purpose. But I suggest to google "brass blackening" before trying to paint. There were many "blue" chemical solution can do a better job. Other material like aluminum, better pre-treat with acid(low conc. Ferric Chloride etc.) before painting or blackening. Cheers, Kwen.
