guiterahome
Does any one knows if the Mig 21F cockpit is the same as the MF one ? Is the ejection seat on the Mig 19 PM the same as on the mig 21 MF ? thanks ! JLG
Dave Williams
The MF cockpit is a bit different than the F, F-13, or PF cockpit. The early ones with the one-part canopy hinged at the front had a different ejector seat (SK-1) and instrument panel shroud with a thick piece of armor glass. There are probably panel differences also, but the seat and IP shrourd are the big changes. AFAIK, the ejection seat on the Russian-built MiG-19 was the same KK-2 on all varients. The MiG-21 MF used the MF-1 seat, which was vastly different than the KK-2 seat.
Pavel
To correct Dave. The seat in Mig-21 MF is KM-1. Cheers Pavel
Honza
One more correction. There is SK-1 seat in the cockpit of MiG-21F and KM-1(KM-1M) in later versions of MiG-21. There are more other differencies like cockpit color grey instead of blue/green for MiG-21F, etc. Best reference about differencies between MiG-21F and MF cockpit you`ll find in 4+ publication dedicated to MiG-21. guiterahome
thank you very much to all. Was the SK1 seat also used on the MIG 19 PF ? Do you know of resin SK1 seats on the market ? regards JLG
Dave Williams
As I stated previously, the only seat in Russian Built MiG-19s was KK-2. It never used any of the seats used in the MiG-21. There are no aftermarket 1/32 SK-1 seats available that I know if.

imatt88
Hey guys, If your looking for aftermarket Soviet stuff, try Cutting Edge Models. They have a bunch of stuff for early Soviet jets. You might find a seat there. Cheers, Ian
guiterahome
They have the Mig 15-17 and the KM-1M, but I do not think they have either the KK-2 or the SK-
