Bill Cross
Working on my Trumpeter P-47D Razorback, and want some guidance on which "orifices" should be open when parked on the hardstand: Cowl? Supercharger vents along the side? ??? The Eduard PE sets are excellent, and offer all sorts of opportunities for super-detailing, so I would prefer to have the supercharger vents open to show the screen inside, but don't want to look stupid like the plane I saw with folded wings and enough ordnance mounted to the pods to bomb a small city. Ads
Cowl and supercharger vents can be opened or closed - the pilot could select them both - you can move them yourself while they are on the ground Flaps go down if i am not mistaken - not 1000% sure on that one - it does look better with everything open and down though The thing is a lot of aircraft are as sealed up as much as possible when on the ground - especially when operating in forward positions like the thunderbolts often did - especially in the 9th AF in the continent. You will find pictures to show you any different mixes of combos open/closed etc Ads
