Hasegawa 190A-5

Hi Gary,

I would say that some squeeze is necessary to make cowling fit the fuselage.

Also when installing bottom insert between cowling and wing roots a small gap emerges (however some putty and sanding solves the issue).

Except this - no problem wit a kit.

I had the same experience with my A-5 as Adam. Here is a close up of that "spacer" that defines the A series after the A-4. This was the hardest area to get right, and just like Adam a little filler and carefull sanding was all that was needed:

Thanks guys!

SO what about the A-8 now? I think it is here somewhere, that SMOTTI(?) is building the A-8 and a couple of people told him there is a problem at the top. Also said was the fuselage needs to be widened for the cowl to fit right. IS that true of the A-8? That's why I had a concern with the A-5.

Thanks again!

Gary

It's interesting that some guys have had no problem with the fit when myself and others have had a ***** of a time with it.Dry fitting is all a guy can do and hope for the best.I have another A-8 and an A-5 that I would like to do in the near future so we'll see how the fit-thing goes...
