More 1/32 Spitfire stuff from Hawaiian Air Depot

Recommended Posts

News of the 1/24 Airfix Mk.VIII has put us back in a Spitfire mood, so we're pushing out some overdue designs while we get ready to do some new 1/24 masks.

We still love the Revell Mk.II, and we love the Eagle Squadrons, so first up is an addendum to our Mk.II Essential Set. The Addendum adds everything you need to paint up William Dunn's XR D, including the serials, squadron codes, and Eagle Squadron logo. Use the Essential set for roundels, fin flashes, theater band, clear parts, prop tips, wheels, and wing walk lines.

Our other new Spitfire design is a Tail Alignment Jig you can cut from .040 styrene. Glue the two pieces together and set your tail planes perfectly. We designed it on the Tamiya Mk. VIII/IV/XIV parts. Then we built it up and found it works equally well on the Revell Mk.II, the Hasegawa Mk. V, the old Revell Mk.I, and the new Kotare Mk.I. Pretty much every 1/32 Spitfire we have laying around. Did I mention we're prone to Spitfire moods?
