panamadan
All that chipped paint, lovely. It's a bit like mine, I painted it with Alclad first, then applied Humbrol Maskol with a sponge, then I painted the camouflage. I painted the markings also. Hi! New to LSP and palnes in general. I normally build armor. Why did these planes chip so badly? Thanks (Danke), Dan
Chris Hannover - Germany
Hallo Hans, willkommen bei LSP! Sorry for beeing so late... Your Frank looks very nice! I like the weathering and the paint chiping in the cockpit, it looks so real! Keep up the great work. We want to see more Grüße aus Hannover, Chris
bsarnoffca
Wow Hans great work on the wheel wells. A good reference for me since I can't quite get my plumbing that clean. It looks like Hasegawa has made a very good model.
Dave Pratt
Dan-one reason for the paint chipping so much on late-war Japanese aircraft was the lack of a proper primer for the paint.Supplies were running low at this period and Japanese aircraft manufacturers simply painted the bare aluminum whatever color the camo called for.Quite often the paint would flake off in huge chunks...I hope this helps...cheers and welcome...Dave

TKaner
I would like to test somewhat differently than the usual methods to to damage the lacquer finish (leave with tape, scrape, mask).
TKaner
I after-drew the lacquer damages in Corel Draw. Afterwards I cut the drawn parts out of foil (I have a foils plotter).
