  1. A big "HELL YEAH!!!" to this thread!!!! Yak-1, 3, 7, 9 LaGG-3 La-5, 7 Pe-2, 3 And while I'm at it... MiG-25 MiG-29A, C Su-7, 20, 22 g
  2. The Montana ANG just recently transitioned from the F-16C to the F-15C. I sure would like to see someone come out with markings for Montana's "new" Eagles!
  3. Still no Yaks... Or a Bf109F... Oh well, I guess I'll go back to church and light a few more candles. g
  4. AH!!! Very clever, Grasshopper!!! Great tip! My wallet thanks you! g
  5. Hey Chris... Yeah, I have some Seamless Suckers too. I was gonna try to get the Cutting Edge variety (I really don't know why), but those critters are scarce and EXPENSIVE these days! Just wondering if anyone has used the "Suckers" and how the fit was. If need be, nothing a jackhammer, some duct tape and a temporary bout of Tourette's Syndrome couldn't fix. Model on! g
  6. Hey y'all! Anybody use these in their build? Comments? g
  7. Hey folks! Two questions for y'all today... 1. I remember a while back that Steve Gallacci created Fw190D-11/13 conversions. Are these still available? Somehow I remember that Jerry Crandall/Eagle Editions was gonna be selling these at some point. Hmmm... 2. Does anyone have any photographic sources of Otto Kittle's last aircraft? From what I've read, it was an FW190A-8, Black 1, white winter wash. Hmmm... I've found no photos of this A-8 nor any other A-8s operating on the Eastern Front. Is it because A-8s did not operate in large numbers on the Eastern Front? My guess would be that the A-8s were employed against the US bombers and that FW190F-8s were supplied to the Eastern Front to combat the Russian armor. That makes sense in my mind, but so do a lot of other things that shouldn't! Thanks in advance for any info! g PS Go New England Patriots!!!! Crush the scumbag Colts!!!!
  8. Hmmmm... I have the F-16C Block 50 boxing. I want to make a "Polish"Block 52 bird. I don't have the "Thunderbirds" boxing which is a Block 32. I'd also like to make a "Montana ANG" Block 30 bird. My question is if I had both Tamiya boxings could I swap the intakes from both kits and build the birds I want WITHOUT major surgery? Cheers! Gene (the Polock) from Montana
  9. Super Dave! That is one sweet ride! Gene in Montana
  10. Yo! Diamond Dave! I just figured out how to log back into LSP after MONTHS of being away (traveling for my @$#%^$% job!). Anyway, AWESOME build so far, dude! Like all of the whackaloonies that post pictures on LSP, I'm inspired and want to sell my stash and take up the kazoo at the same time! g
  11. I thought about this for awhile myself. I offer one solution (although I haven't tried it yet)... Aluminum foil cut to cover the section of the wheel well with the indentation. Have the foil edges butt up against the rivets in the well. Yeah, there will be a slight lip/edge where the foil meets the rivets but no one said it's a perfect world. Shifting gears a little bit... I've been BAFFLED ever since Hasegawa released their first "new tooled" 109 as to why they included those awesome rivets on the bottom wing but not on the rest of the model. Things that make you go, "Hmmmmm?" Oh! Your model is kickin'! Keep the updates comin'! g
  12. Anybody have an opinion to which is "better"? Pros? Cons? Mix n' match? Thanks! g
  13. Hey there, BK! I too just received an order of a couple of the Bf109G (early) superchargers from Bruce at PRP and am very happy with 'em! If the two front scoops on each side of the nose are making you lose sleep, you might want to try the Bf109F/G/K upgrade set from Meteor/Cutting Edge. The set is $16 and not only includes two sets of the aforementioned scoops that you can place wherever you want 'em, but the set also includes a new tail wheel, control surfaces, machine guns and cannons and a few other goodies. Nice set! Oh, and I know what you mean about the build vs. collect thing! LOL! Gene in Montana
  14. Hi Jerry! Would you (or anyone else for that matter) have a drawing of the smaller hatch and its location? I have several 190 books but none of them really show the hatch. Ugh. g
  15. Hey everybody! What are the best reference books available for detailing these critters? Line drawings? Etc... I have "Fw190 in Action" and the two "Walk Around" books. Are there any others? How 'bout the titles from Kangero? Any good Japanese references? Hey Jerry Crandall! Can I raid yer library? LOL! By the way, it was a pleasure speaking with you the other day. I will take you up on your invitation once winter leaves Montana. Thanks in advance for all your responses to my question! Gene in @^%@^ COLD Billings, Montana
  16. In my case, as I get older I'm becoming more and more aware of my own mortality. Buying kits (that I know I will never build is) is like buying time. "Hell yeah! I'm gonna build 'em all before I die! Just you wait and see!" I know I'm only fooling myself but it feels so good! LOL! g
  17. I'll second what Chris feels... Thanks for the info fellas! g
  18. What is/are the best reference(s) about the A/F and D series? Does anything come close to the Prien & Rodeike book for the Bf109? Thanks! g
