Interest in aviation started at about six years old, when I sat in an aeroplane ( probably Spitfire ) and reached a high when I flew in a Spitfire at Duxford in 2017, a wonderful present from my dear wife.

Had a PPL, courtesy of the Air Training Corps, before a driving licence and was a gliding instructor with an ATC gliding school for a number of years.

Worked in UK Air Traffic Control for 40 years, 30 of them at Heathrow before retiring to rural France with wife, horses and dogs.
