  1. True that. Looking forward to the Gladiator, hope it’s a good’n.
  2. Who cares? If you like it buy it. If not there’s $600 you can spend on something else
  3. Not really just a bit bored with the other threads... But it would be interesting to see some flying boats or other interesting stuff go to injection moulding in 32nd scale. Is it mold or mould? Have to Google that.
  4. Wonder if we’ll see 1/32 20s and 30s subjects in the future? Anime films like ‘Porco Rosso’ etc include WW1 and post WW1 subjects like flying boats (and some fantastical type constructions). I thought this might interest someone like Peter Jackson. Stranger things have happened...
  5. The WNW kit may not come into the world blazing a trail of glory, heralding a new age but I don’t think they will need to throw in a free mermaid to impress the bejesuz out of us either.
  6. So has the market reached saturation for now? People waiting for the WNW kit reviews? Or something else?
  7. Funny thing is I don’t intend to get this one but after looking at the box art for the early version I think if you’re a Lancaster or WW2 fan all your Christmas wishes just came true.
  8. Have to agree with what Vince has said. I don’t think the WNW Lanc. will lead to every kit company oil canning every metal skinned a/c in every scale. But for premium kits I image they will be looking hard at this. You’d have to be a fly on the wall at one of their meetings to know what the future holds... No doubt it’s release will launch many informative, entertaining and hopefully not too nitpicking threads...
  9. Yes let us know what arrives in the post, thanks!
  10. I thought I read some time ago that HB we’re going to fix the frosted turrets in re-issued kits. Has anyone bought a kit recently and found this is the case? Or just another internet rumour? Thanks guys!
  11. Well put ! WNW’s oil canning is potentially a real game changer for metal skinned a/c.
  12. At the end of the day price is relative. For me its expensive but if I was a Lanc fan, I'd be getting it. Will it's surface texture be the 'Dreadnought' that recessed panel lines was in the 90's? Interesting times.
  13. Oh yes thanks Radu limited edition cockpit section. 50 pages for this thread now!
  14. . They can produce only 2 versions. No duellist pack. How soon it sells out depends on demand vs. how many units they crank out and sell before the molds get moth-balled. Enjoy the sun and souvenirs!
  15. +1 Yes that’s why I asked, but early days...Yeh, kind of waivering. To get or not to get, then which one? Both? Think I’ll start on the Pup- plenty of build threads...and Ryan’s photos are good motivation
  16. I’m happy for you Lancaster fans. Just wish PJ had a thing for B24 Libs and we had the same choice...
  17. Well maybe in the right lighting after a few drinks... But not even then for the Fairey Battle I’m afraid!
  18. Beats me why Tamiya or another company hasn’t done a new B17/24 in 1/48. Or re- done their Lancaster.
  19. Have to agree 1/32 IMO is almost museum scale. A 100 cm wingspan is not a miniature. That said 1/32 is a very good scale for fighters If they were going to do another 4 engine bomber (which they won’t, I think) then I’d vote for a B24 as an alternative to the HB offering.
  20. Nice predictions! So if they do a Pfalz 3 then Se5a could be in a duelist/ Aces boxing... I thought there might be a Pup / Gotha duellists set coming, maybe it still is. The rockets can be used on quite a few a/c. We are still to see other home defence types like the Sopwith Comic, Be2e and Dh4.
