  1. Has anyone with the knowledge of what the correct colors for the painted photo-etched parts by Eduard ever contacted the Eduard company? Their quality control people maybe just looking at the registration and placement of the color printing. One should ask if they use Federal Standard color charts and if they know where these colors should be. If they (Eduard) would be notified of this problem, better parts would be made. Instead of us just making our own corrections after we paid big bucks so our build would be faster and more accurate.
  2. Thanks for your help Guys. Hope to hear from other Phantom Phanatics with the bare metal rear end painting. I know there are others of you out there! Paul Stoner is one of my Heros of the Phantom, where are you my Friend? Thanks again for you guys! Steve
  3. Phantom Phanatics, What are the bare metals of the rear fuselage, horizontal stabilizer and burner cans. Tamiya calls out for XF-56 Metallic Grey for most and some X-10 Gun Metal for the burner cans. What colors and brand paints do you experts use? There is a spot on the horizontal stabilizer that looks like metal goes in a different direction, how do you make this look real? Thanks, Steve
  4. Try the P.R.Dept of Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, Ct. The should be able to help you. One (a real R-4) used to hang from the high bay area of the Stratford Plant. I think they used to have the set of plans for anyone who asked for it.
  5. I worked at the 'Big House', Stratford, CT. for many years. Good to see someone knows the old Winged S.
  6. Friends, With the help of my Wife, I took the plung and bought the Tamiya F-4J Phantom, Marine. I want to build the mud mover. The BDR patches, does any one have a good way of removing them. Is there a picture any of you have where they are all located and what the panel lines and rivet pattern should be when removed. This is one of my first big planes, like all, I want it to be right ... for me. Are there any pitfalls I should know about other then the intakes? Are the intakes 'fixable' other then covers? I want the visable and clean look. Thanks all, Steve
  7. Has anyone tried the automotive sandable primer? Will it cover fine detail? I got a spray can of it, just wanted to know if anyone has used it. Steve
  8. I want to know if anyone has used the Cutting Edge conversion set F-4E Phantom Veitnam (hard wing) CEC32023 to fix the nose of the Revell 1/32 F-4E Mig Killer model? I need a little help here. I also need a set of the Seamless Suckers for the Revell kit.... Thanks all Steve
