  1. thanks a lot for your nice comments - i'm really happy that the "real large scale freaks" like my bug, too. my last project was an F-5E aggressor from hasegawa, completely rescribed and riveted... i'll post some in progress-pics, but this one is already finished as well. at the moment, i'm working on tamiya's F-16. this one will become an aggressor, too.
  2. hello everybody, i'd like to show you my F/A-18 from academy that i finished in june. as a "smallscaler" (i'm "specialized in US Navy aircraft in 72nd scale), this was my first 32nd model and it was quite an experience. i worked on the kit during over one year with some quite big interruptions, and it wasn't always fun because the fit too isn't too hot on some areas like the LEX or the aft fuselage. but i have to say that i'm quite happy with the result - and i'm infected with the large scale virus... i used the excellent cutting edge cockpit and some eduard meshes. i thinned out the nozzles and scratched the mechanism between the feathers, i added some details on the wing folding mechanism, added wiring on the gears and a few other details. the GBU-12 is scratch built using a GBU-10 head and a Mk.83 body. the paintjob was done using humbrol paints, the decals are from the box. i hope you like it and i can't wait to get your comments. i hope my english isn't too bad - i have neither spoken nor written since about 4 years (but i read a lot in english)...
  3. great work so far - very impressive! are you going to repaint your hornet? i really don't like the paintjob done the manufacturer. the weathering isn't realistic at all, so unfortunately, the model still looks like a toy in my eyes...
  4. wow - awesome work!! und ums auch mal auf deutsch zu sagen - wunderschönes modell!
  5. wow, awesome work! i love the weathering and overall finish!
