  1. Hallo Tim, thanks for the information! cezanne
  2. Hallo members, does somebody can give me a hind: What is the correct FS-Gray-Nr. for the Cockpit inside, arround beginning of the 80ties? Thanks very much cezanne
  3. Sorry guy's, I'm to stupid to understand, how to post my building report by pages. Maybe an administrator is reading this and can give a computernut a step by step hind. Okaey, let's go on with the cockpit. One question was, if they are the kit-seat's. Yes they are ! I added with plastic-sheet and copperwire some details, to make them also look a bit more realistic. I know, they don't look exactly like a MB Mk. 3 or Mk. 4, but I tried to make the best out of it. Usually all british Jetplanes of this aera had black Cockpit insides. But the "black-hole-effect" let me made a different decision. I brushed first a basic of Blackgray by Testors. Then I made a washing with medium- gray acrylics. At last I did a dry-brushing with aluminium-emanels and a bit medium brown. Everything got a coat of semigloss varnish. Voila, so it look's painted and finished: That's are for now. I hope you enjoyed it. Next will be the Jet-Engine D.H. Ghost 105. Greetings cezanne
  4. Hallo guy's, thanks for your kind comments. At the moment I struggle with the Topic-Board of LSP. I don't understand how to post my topic in different pages. This was what I originally wanted, because there are still some interesting pictures I have. I know - I'm a computernut ! Okaey, here are some more scratchpictures: Greets cezanne
  5. Hallo guy's, after all that great building-reports, I try myself also - as a new bee - on this Forum. This year Revell-Germany reissued this ex. Matchbox-Kit from the Plastic-Stoneage. I got the kit for about 15 €. All the parts are typical Matchbox - crued and spare of details. All over on the fuselage and wings are a lot of sinkmarks. The kit is molded in white plastic, what I personally don't like that much. Of course there are no aftermarket parts available. In the net, are also not that much informations of that bird - no wonder, there were only build about 40 planes. So I have to use my phantasie how the details could look like. I wanted to try, to improve my scratchbuilding-skills. Only with the usual materials: Sheet, Profiles from Evergreen and copperwire in different diameters. Okaey, let's start with the cockpit. First of all, I realized, that the scale is a bit strange. After meassuring, I found out that the scale of the cockpit-parts is something around 35 to 37 but never 32 ! First of all, the Cockpitfloor is to short and the pedals are missing. So I added 20mm to the floor and builded rudderpedals. With sheet, profiles and copperwire I added a lot of details, to look the cockpit a bit more realistic, also the Ejectionseats. As references I used a cockpit- photo of a Swiss-Airforce-Venom. The molded straps I left on the seats, also I used the decals for the Instrumentboard - sorry! I wanted to see, how it looks like after painting. That's for now, critics are wellcome. cezanne
  6. Boy oh Boy, what have I done? I didn't expected such many replies! Okaey, if I get the right summary, there are only two possibilties: Kick it in the binn or start to build a 100% Full-scratch F-117 Nighthawk! That's really hard stuff for an old indian. I guess, I have to think it over. Thanks guy's for your answers, specielly Mike V. cezanne
  7. Hi guy's I got for cheap an Revell F-117 Nighthawk-Kit. I know, the kit is originally from Testors, then issued from Revell, later from Italeri. The kit has very poor details, and so far I see, some faults. The bombay by example - is a joke! The outer shape looks a bit - strange, politly said! But I can't figure out what's wrong. Does anybody has some experience with this kit. Or does anybody knows maybe about some stuff to built a correct plane. I tried in the net to get some drawings, but the ones of certegi are not that great. Thanks for your help cezanne
  8. Hello guys, thanks for the Informations you gave me all. I think, now it looks a bit clear what "LASTE" means. cezanne
  9. Hello Rob, thanks for the Info's and Ted Taylor's Building-Report. The one I picked out is in World Air Power Volume 16, its from the 917th TFW. cezanne
  10. Hi guys, I'm not so familiar with the English short-cuts. Does anybody can explain me, what "LASTE" is and means. I have that bloody big box of a Trumpeter A-10 "Warthog" on my workbench and want to build the right version out of it. The scheme I want to choose, is one of these experi- mentel "Pre-Desertstorm" Peanuts. Well I don't know, if there were already some "LASTE" Modifications on this birds or not. After Thierry Laurents "Market-Artikel" is a lot of work ahead. Thanks cezanne
  11. Hello Chris, I forgot, there is a Russian Website "certegi": http://www.airwar.ru/other/draw/hawkerhunter.html http://www.airwar.ru/other/draw/hawkerhunter5kr.html http://www.airwar.ru/other/draw/j34hawkerhunter.html But sorry, no "Puma"! Maybe, that helps: http://www.xs4all.nl/~designer/models/cougar-32/cougar-1.htm Greetings cezanne
  12. Hello Chris, There is one good book: "Moderne Militärflugzeuge" From Paul Eden & Soph Moeng by Bassermann-Verlag. Here you find Cutaways about 118 different Planes and Helicopters. The bad: It's not anymore avaiable. Myself was hunting it for quiete same time, until I got one second hand. If you are interested, I can make copies and send them to you by mail. Greetings cezanne
  13. Hi Mike V, Thanks a lot for your informations. I think the decision is now clear - I better leave it! It was only an idea cezanne
  14. Hi Chris, I had the same effect a couple of years ago. The stuff is overstored!! The spiders are a typcial sign. Kick it in the bin and get a new one - like I did. The same effect you have sometimes with overstored clear laquer, no matter if flat or gloss. cezanne
  15. Hello everbody, last year I finished a F-16C from Academy. Well - the fit of a couple of details was not that, what I suspected. Gunbay and main-wheelwell have not that great fit, by example. But I managed it. During building I got the idea, to build another one - a F-16A. The Hasagawa-F-16 is not so much on top of the now common standards and still expensive! So I tought of a "backdate" from a Academy-Kit. Is this possible? I know, I have to smaller the Tailfin and the main- wheel-well doors are not bulged. The cockpit needs also some corrections - but what else? Does somebody an idea? Thanks, cezanne
  16. Hi hacker, The bird has so many false, as a dog fleas. The scale is absoluty wrong and something about near 35-37 than 32. The cockpit and landinggear is a lot of phantasie and has noth- ing to do with the real thing. But the radar- section is absolutly RIGHT! In the new Tornadokit this section is WRONG! The fit is good and you won't have problems. I builded both of them. At the moment a third an F3, because to me it's the most elegant one. Greetings cezanne
  17. Hello Menelaos, I thank you very much for your Help. The drawings are really great! Now it seems that I really can built a Mirage III in correct scale. Thanks again, cezanne
  18. Hi guy's I'm new on this site and have a question: Has anybody experience with this kit. It must be out of Revell middle-age around the seventies. At the moment I rebuild the hole cockpit, including the ejection-seat by scratch. The worst part is still in front of me: to rebulid the outer wings. On some aeras there thin like paper, shrinked and absolutly warped. I need for a correct rebuild a drawing, but all the digging in the net was without result. Has anybody an idea? cezanne Please excuse my bad Englisch.
