Doc,

This resin kit, isn't as cracked up as to the pic's on the Collect-Aire site.A lot of small pin holes and alot of resetting parts and alot of cutting to get the part s to fit.Wrong sized wheels and tires and to say the least, not worth the money for such a resin kit.And alot of flash, here and there.I know that some would say, don't complain, but when Scrachbuildrs was around.Forrest Cox at least listened to the model builder.IMHO.Larry

Doc,

Considering the build that i saw on the hyperscale site and the Collect-Aire site.It just doesn't seem to where the guy who built it didn't mention anything about the pin holes and etc.Or unless i read the article wrong. But i don't think so.I should have added in the message i sent u,that i'm doing mine in the NMF and using lacquar touch up paint out of a bomb can.One other that this kit did,was when i let it sit up for about days and was making off the top where the anti-glare panels go,that they lifted the paint in little chip like areas,as to weathering.I think u know what i mean. And i guess that the nam three tone paint scheme that was used can cover up the little boo/boo's here and there. Please don't take the comments i made, but that's what i have found and what i had to do to get it the way, that i'm doing it.Will try and get some pic's and get them to brad and u be the judge.Larry

Doc,

Do yourself a favor, buy the Trumpeter. It comes with the "Polish Glider" markings (every 105 kit has, it seems). The kit ain't perfect, but it has worlds more potential than the CA kit. RC resins is now actively addressing some of the kit's shortcomings, and Black Box has just released thier cockpit set. Really nicely done. I bought it and Eli Raphael's decals for mine. I plan on buying the RC resin as well. Its a shame that the decals are kinda limited, but maybe some more will come out soon. If you really wanted a "wrap around" 105, Two Bobs just blew thier 105 sheet up to 32nd recently and that would be nice as well. I do wish that some one would at least revisit some of the 48th and 72nd scale sheets and do them in 32nd, but I guess that's just a "pipe dream".
