Woody V
Odd that the wheel bays aren't zinc chromate. I was a maintainer during Vietnam and cannot recall ever seeing internal structure painted gray. But I could be wrong, I just find it odd. From what I was finding online, the bays started in zinc chromate during production, but by the mid 60's, started being painted white, while the gear stayed silver. I wasn't able to find anything definitive to go with, but I didn't have zinc chromate in my paints..... so, I went white. Woody V
Probably better corrosion resistance. Doesn’t matter it’s never going to be seen anyway, that’s my way of doing it. Brett M
