I finally got this from another distributor. The fuselage is held securely and with the foam strips installed won't mark the plastic. It can be freely positioned from horizontal to vertical and holds firmly. Definitely recommended.

GRS make an extended version of articulating 3rd hands, the are not jaws, they use an extended tungsten carbide thin tips so you can hold fine articles, very well made and are for the jewelry trade, but they are probably the most expensive set of third hands on the market, they are not junk cheapies, cost inhibitive though, but the best out there.
