KOG7777
Isn't the Trumpeter P-47D razorback supposed to be one of their better ones? So I hear. But I've mostly been avoiding them (Trumpeter kits) due to overall poor reputation. I'm also not sure if it's worth the price Trumpeter is asking. If it were a Tamiya kit I wouldn't hesitate, but I'm more cautious around Trumpeter kits. I have some of their 1/48 kits and I'm not that impressed most of the time. Even if the general shape and detail of the P-47D is sound, I'm not sure I like their treatment of the overall surface. Rivet treatment specifically. I can't help but feel like a Hasegawa, Tamiya, or even ZM kit would have a more pleasant overall look. I mean if push comes to shove and no one else ever does a P-47D razorback, I'll probably give in and buy one eventually. I can't say I'd do the same for the P-51B as it just looks really off to me.
