Anybody have SR-71A/B cross sections?

Ok, forgive me if I'm going with balsa and ply, but I'd really like to get as accurate of a representation as I can using those materials (imagine a Guillow's kit). I've see flying representations online, but they look like a model, they have model's modifications to be able to fly. Whereas, I'm looking to do a static model. So, flying alterations are less than desireable.

I've got side views, I've got top/down views, but I don't have the cross sections. Anybody got them?

Thanks!

So, if you want to see some great work that was unfortunately never finished, check out Ruzlkampf's build....

He stopped on it a while back to pursue other interests. I'm not sure if he still cruises through here or not, but he can probably help.

I can suggest the Blackbird Photo Scrapbook. It's got a small version of some blueprints that has cross sections on it, but it may be a bit small to use. Either way, the $13 cost is way too little for the book.....it's worth 5 or 10 times that for anyone building a model of the Sr-71.

No, Russ will not be able to help;... he's deceased.

Go to www.Ecardmodels.com and grab Ken West's 1:32 SR-71 (paper model) for $12.00. I suspect it would form a great basis for a 1:16 plastic version. Ken's research is sxcellent and his models "dead on" so it might save you a bunch of design work.

Thanks for the info guys.

I loved that 1/48th XB-70. I might have to switch back to paper kits (I've built 1/1 scale card models of birds, including the Osprey).
