Last week I wrote up a review of some wooden bases (Bases by Bill) that I came across at the Chattanooga model show in January. I bought a base (with a kit) and a model friend bought over half a dozen of the wooden bases. Here are a few pics, but that got me thinking about bases in general... I see that the resin PSP bases have popped back up on the scene. I've also used small mirrors as bases. Question - what is your preferred base for your prized model aircraft? Chris

Just wondered if any of my Brit Brethren had any recommendations for glass display cases? I don't need one right now, but wondered if I had the space, I might be more inclined to finish some models! Tim

Hi guys 'n' gals, I have the chance of a second hand/used/pre-owned (call it what you will) display case and wondered what you fine LSPers consider a fair price. The cabinet stands 2m tall and is 500mm x 500mm. It has aluminium corners holding three glass sides with a glass door. The cabinet is on castors and has three internal glass shelves supported at their corners by adjustable aluminium brackets. The door lock is broken and there are one or two marks to the aluminium frame but everything else looks ok. There are no lights. So, given the above information, what would you all consider a fair price? I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Cheers.
