Would elfinsafety even allow a 19 year old near such dangerous machinery?

I’m now going to search the rest of that film collection: I was at RNAS Lossiemouth that summer in 1968 on ‘holdover’ from BRNC Dartmouth before starting flying training! Myself and a fellow Midshipman had the task of removing excess metal from an old Morris Oxford which was the ‘illegally parked car’ during this Air Day: we had to get it down to a weight acceptable to the Station Flight Whirlwind Mk10. All the usual announcements about moving the car and at the right time we snuck out and drove it around the airfield, initially chased by the Tiger Moth shown in this video which ‘bombed’ us with flour bombs to the point where we were intercepted by the Whirlwind which hooked on to pre-arranged strops and lifted the car away. Needless to say it was dropped ‘accidentally’ , fortunately we weren’t still on board.....
